I drew upon my advertising experience as an Art Director and illustrator to create a series of oil paintings that are made to look like advertisements and billboards for well known brands.
However, instead of promoting these unhealthy and harmful products, I have used my creativity to bring forth what I believe, are truthful information and what can be done to make better choices. I am also making you aware of the many dangers we are faced with in daily life.
In my site I have included ads from the past that show how exploitative, untrue and outlandish they were; today's ads are unfortunately just as bad.
Ultimately, my work is intended to empower you, the consumer, to make rational buying decisions that will lead to a healthier life. Next time you are about to purchase something enticing and delicious looking, imagine that item stripped of its fancy packaging and persuasive advertising. Picture it in a plain white bag.
See what you are really getting. Focus on the facts – not the flash. Then make a conscious decision about whether you still want it.
